The Edge of Always (The Edge of Never, #2)
J.A. Redmerski
Unbeautifully - Madeline Sheehan 10 gritty stars!! Effing brilliant! Madeline Sheehan ROCKED IT!!! Totally in love from the first sentence. I am bursting with so much excitement that I could jump put of my skin right now! Ripper, oh Ripper, I really want to be on the back of your bike and I never thought I would have said that, ever...!!

"All scars tell a story, beautiful girl,... "And mine...tell the story of how I found you."- Ripper

We start off with noticeable tension between Ripper and Danny at a club gathering, we realize they have history but are clearly not together and we don't know why. Each are there with someone else.

"No. No, he did not care. But yeah, he sort of did."-Ripper

Then Ripper throws all caution to the wind and steps forward in front of the entire MC to make a declaration to Danny that nearly stopped my heart!

“F*CK THIS SH*T.
F*ck the club and the code, and f*ck brotherhood. He would give it all up for her. For his woman. Because she sure as sh*t was his, and he’d go to hell and back ten times over before he lost her forever."- Ripper

We later learn Ripper and Danny have been having a secret affair which they've kept hidden from the MC and especially Deuce, Danny's father, who has forbidden brothers from dating his daughter. Ripper struggles with trying to do the right thing by Danny but also trying to keep himself away from the barrel of Deuce's gun.

“If your old man caps me, you better be front and center at my f*ckin’ funeral, cryin’ your goddamn eyes out!" Ripper

He's gotten himself into a mess but isn't sure what to do about it.

"Holy sh*t, he was an idiot. And he hadn't just f*cked her, he had been all up in that sh*t,..." - Ripper

But it's too late, Ripper has fallen for Danny fast and hard.

"I just wanna rip you the f*ck open," He said, breathing harder as his thrusts became brutal. "I want all of me inside all of you, not just my f*ckin' c*ck, baby, but all of me. All of you. "

But true to Sheehan's word there will be no fairy tale endings for these two.

"I had to live.
I had to see him.
I had to tell him I loved him.
I had to live." - Danny

We also see the aftermath of Crazy Frankie. The facial disfigurement of Ripper and the demons that has caused him . There is also the psychological damage done to Deuce and Eva's relationship that needs mending.

An AMAZING book! But be clear, it's not for everyone. It still carried the same grit and grim of the first book but I guess I was more prepared for it this time. The bikers haven't change their ways, still assholes, still disrespecting women, still violent maniacs one minute then joking and laughing the next. Having said that, I'm hooked and can't wait for book 3.

Control (Songs of Submission, #4)

Control (Songs of Submission, #4) - C.D. Reiss I'm still not rating each book yet because I want to finish the whole series and rate it as a whole but damn this series is getting good!

The Education of Caroline (The Education of..., #2)

The Education of Caroline - Jane Harvey-Berrick

Beautiful! I had no idea where book two would lead. I loved every minute of it. I loved Sebastian's beautiful soul, I admired Caro's personal growth and her ability to dig down deep and "get some" (courage, in military speak). I felt at home with a lot of the content having grown up on many Marine Corps bases around the world and then enlisted for a short time myself (I plead temporary insanity on that charge. Lol!) This is a hopeful story that proves even through the worst of times the heart still wants what the heart wants no matter what the brain says.

The Education of Sebastian (The Education of..., #1)

The Education of Sebastian (The Education of..., #1) - Jane Harvey-Berrick Hmmm, where to start? Is it wrong that I was not bothered too much by the age difference? I felt that although Caroline was physically older than Sebastian, her mental state was equal to his. She lead a very sheltered life where she always did what she was told. It wasn't until things began with Sebastian did she attempt to grow up and stick up for herself. I loved how Sebastian wore his heart on his sleeve for her, a quality I hope he doesn't lose in Book 2. Caro still has some more work to do in order to win me over. She never manipulated him or took advantage of his trust, he was a very willing participant in their relationship and even the aggressor at times. However, they were both very naive to a disastrous fault and I wonder what they have learned so far and if their luck will change.
Beyond Eden - Kele Moon 4.5 stars. Dizzy ride! New territory for me but I'm glad I read it.

Real (Real, Raw & Ripped, #1)

Real - Katy Evans 4.5 stars. Remy joins the emotionally damaged bad boy category that includes Travis Maddox, Jake Wethers, and Clayton Reed. Remy is trouble for a million different reasons. Any girl in her right mind should avoid him but Brooke can't seem to help herself. Their first meeting was very intense and their attraction grew instantly. The sexual tension between them was a slow torturous build that resulted in fireworks. Worth the wait! Although Remy is physically strong but he needs Brooke to help him cope mentally to his life. Loving Remy can be a challenge and Brooke struggles to be strong enough to handle it all along with her own personal battles. I loved Remy and his way of expressing himself to Brooke through his iPod playlist. He was sweet, sexy, and exhausting! Brooke was a little annoying at times but overall it was a good story! No cliff but I can't wait for the sequel. Need more Remy!
Beautiful Stranger - Christina Lauren This was really good! Muuuch better than book one! It can work as a good stand alone if you haven't read BB. I loved everything about Sara and Max's relationship and they actually gave me a few ideas I might want try out! Absolutely H.O.T.!!! C.L does not disappoint in that department!

Leo (Sign of Love, #1)

Leo (Sign of Love, #1) - Mia Sheridan 5 stars on fire! Wow! I loved this story. I can't believe I waited so long to read this! It made my heartache, beat fast then stop all in random order! I could feel the longing and electricity between them. Pantymelting I tell you! I even got a little choked up at the end. *sigh* Just what I needed! Wow wow wow!!

Accidentally on Purpose (Accidentally on Purpose, #1)

Accidentally on Purpose (Accidentally on Purpose, #1) - L.D. Davis 4 shaky stars. This book had me shocked but not in a good way. Things were going so well then *BAM* I was given a smack in the face that left me I feeling so angry in the end that my whole review has to be a spoiler alert!

The ending was a giant cop out!!! I didn't buy it! Kyle being on meth as an explanation was shoved down our throats. There was never any indication but it seemed as though Emmy knew this all along!!?? I'll admit Kyle was a moody jerk at work but that's not unusual. Yes, he did have a bit of an anger issue. Yes, he was too weak to stand up to his girlfriend and family but did he have to be a druggie?? It doesn't make sense! Emmy was weak especially the way she handled Kyle in the end! Luke would have been better off without her IMO. She doesn't really love Luke in the forever kind of way and I think she would have still chosen Kyle eventually if she hadn't gotten knocked up twice by Luke!

I would have respected the story more if Emmy's choice was a little harder to make but of course who would pick a violent drug addict over a nice guy who is the father of your children... I probably would have still picked Kyle at the end...oh well

With Everything I Am (The Three, #2)

With Everything I Am - Kristen Ashley 4.5 stars. I love a steamy werewolf/vampire series and this is turning out to be pretty good! I liked book 2 better than book 1, and I can't wait for book 3 to complete the "prophecy" and then finish the series. Hopefully KA will have it out soon! *fingers crossed*

Jessica (Songs of Dominance, #1)

Jessica (Songs of Dominance, #1) - C.D. Reiss That was quick and clarified some of my suspicions. It's always nice to have the guy's POV.

Submit (Songs of Submission, #3)

Submit (Songs of Submission, #3) - C.D. Reiss Ugh! Need more! Hopefully the wait for book 4 won't be too long!!!

Sharon (Songs of Dominance #2)

Sharon (Songs of Dominance #2) - C.D. Reiss I wish his POV' s could have been woven into the entire story. I think it would help add more to it.

Beg (Songs of Submission, # 1)

Beg (Songs of Submission, # 1) - C.D. Reiss I'm hooked on this series! It doesn't seem right to rate each one of these books individually because they are just small pieces of an entire story. I'm going to hold off and rate it as a whole.

Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2)

Wicked Cravings (The Phoenix Pack, #2) - Suzanne Wright 4.5 stars!! I love this series! I can't wait for more!!

Comfort Food

Comfort Food - Kitty Thomas 3.5 stars...weird...great premise but it felt rushed! I just wanted it all to fit together a little better...Captive in the Dark and Consequences were a lot more sucessful in achieving what this book was trying to do IMO. I really wanted to love this...
